Welcome to the Handbook of documents for Ethereum Meetup Organisers. This Gitbook is material for Ethereum Meetup organisers that is free to use. I used to run this program for 6 months.

Program description

Ethereum Meetup Support Program is about having a place for the meetup organisers, educating them about how to do a meetup and inviting them to collaborate with other meetup organisers. This is a community that is growing but it’s already successful. This is just a beginning of the road with a community of a local community builders and leaders. We encourage people to join, chat with others, read given documents and learn from them. Materials created for this community are supposed to be used as a source or like a playbook for meetup organisers. You can find those helpful especially in the beginning of your road to be a meetup organiser.

Important Info

This is how the program used to run, it's not running anymore since there is not funding support to continue working on this program. Keeping this documentation as Anett's proof of work and as it can be helpful for others to gain knowledge from :)

Emails

Every participant of the Ethereum Meetup Support Program will receive following emails:

• Welcome email with links for calls (calendar event) and Discord channel

• Every second Monday Catch up call invite

• Same week but Wednesday Recap with notes from call

It's up to every participant of the program, community to handle calendar invites. Nobody will add Catch up calls into your calendar. You will receive link with Calendar in Welcome email, if the link doesn’t work please reach out to Anett.

Communication

As participant of the program, it's up to you to engage with the community and learn the best, get the most out of this community.

We have Discord channel as main communication tool

We have used to have Bi-Weekly calls with announcements, catching up on news from the community and get to know each other a little more.

Materials

As a meetup organiser, you get access to thus Ethereum Meetup Support Program Gitbook. This should be your "left hand" in organising. You can access it anytime, learn from it. In this Gitbook you can find a lot of knowledge from people who are organising meetups and events for years. Feel free to share this Gitbook with your co organisers.
